MIX Meisei Story episode 1 の感想

The first episode has been a good one! Was worried about quite a lot of things but finally, had a chance to watch MIX anime episode 1, original story by Mitsuru Adachi. 

The pace was a little bit slow at the beginning, but after watching the opening, I can understand the atmosphere it was trying to convey, it was alright. Thanks to Nonko-chan, the voice actress of Minami-chan in Touch. Her narration at the beginning, and at the end, was able to embrace everything together, from 30 years ago what had happened at Meisei High School, the baseball team, the legendary Tatsuya-Kun who had brought the school to enter into the Koshien - the championship of the high school baseball tournament. Nonko san is amazing. 

The overall directing of the anime, the way it was presented visually, was fine. Although I worried so much about the art. But compare to the other job well done, it is okay. The other job well done I mean were: the story, the voice acting and music. They are quite successfully portrayed the original story (at least in episode 1), the mood of the main characters: Touma, Souichiro, Otomi, Natsuno, okasan and otosan. I had read the original comic and I think all these voice actors performances quite matched the characters. Big relief! Although the voices of the little boy version of the brothers may seem a bit too old, but the actors Kaji and Yuma have managed to act quite well.

There are two parts I like in particular. They are at the middle, and towards the ending of this episode, were when Touma and Otomi were in their kitchen. Only a few words spoken, but the sunlight, thier voices, I can see their characters being well introduced, I hope this momentum can be maintained until in at least the next episode, that the main characters can soon be revealed, and to be enhanced in a good way, even though the original creator Adachi-san had just begun the development of the love story in the manga of MIX recently.

The first episode was broadcasted on 6 April 2019, the last month of the Heisei era, I really looking forward to the next episode no. 2 ! Oh, last but not least, music has been created beautifully with live orchestra, I liked it a lot, and it holds the story together.
